Carnivores Ball 2014

Event Description

An event for the discerning meat enthusiast - join me for the Carnivores Ball!

Start your evening with canapes from Salt & Time and a bourbon tasting from Garrison Brothers, then find your seat at the table to enjoy a pork-themed appetiser from Jack Perkins and The Slow Bone crew (who are making the trek down from Dallas). They will be serving a savory Pork pound cake with Fresno pepper marmalade.

Make sure your wear you stretchy pants because Evan Leroy from Freedmens is up next, with an epic beef-stravaganza featuring Condabri beef which is being imported from Australia especially for the Ball! He's preparing a smoked and braised beef shank, with smoked marrow and tallow cooked vegetables.

Finally, get ready to experience brisket as you've never had it before - candied brisket and bacon round out the dessert experience, all executed by the frysperts at Fried & True, with a little smoking help from John Brotherton.

Frank and the crew from Saint Arnold will be sampling a beer matched expertly to each of the three courses so you're sure not to go home thirsty.

The gang at Industry Print Shop and KLCTVE have teamed up to provide a very special service on the night - live t-shirt screen printing in a range of both Texas and BBQ themed designs plus a special souvenir Carnivores Ball design!

To round it all out - live tunes from Mayeux and Broussard, beverages from Texas Tea AND meat-based protein bars from Austin's own Epic. 

There's plenty of parking on site - doors open 5.30 (for canapes and bourbon) and dinner service starts at 6.45. 

Finally - the dress code. Well, it's pretty much anything that takes your fancy - from jeans to tuxedos and everything in between. Just maybe don't wear white, unless you bring a bib!
